It’s hard to believe it’s been just over a year since the debuting of DomainSherpa’s Emoji Domains May Take Over the World, having originally aired April 10, 2017. In short, emoji domains caught fire shortly after Mike Cyger interviewed Matan Israeli and Jon Roig about a universal language that most people throughout the world use […]

Namepros members calling a sale BS vindicated

April 24, 2018 by Raymond Hackney 8 Comments

There was one hell of a debate going on today with a sale reported on Namepros.  It all started with  $30,000 Sold ***IOT.COM (9 letters) Members like AbdulBasit.com, Karmaco, Golan, Michael M and myself making the point that incomplete data in the thread is basically worthless. Others basically told people they were jealous, get lost, […]

Incomplete data is worthless

April 15, 2018 by Raymond Hackney 4 Comments

I know there are a few who always say they don’t release any info on their sales. There are others who feel they know why and it’s not for anything honorable or on the up and up. Whether someone is trying to hype themselves up, boast about something that didn’t happen, or is just a […]

April 12, 2018 by Raymond Hackney 8 Comments

NO! So a thread starter on Namepros posted the following: By selling domains to end-users, I got an impression that the women I contacted are absolutely not interested in buying domains. Since women in almost all industries are increasingly occupying managerial positions, this could constitute a major barrier to this domain selling mode (via cold […]

Namepros has a thing for April Fool’s Day

April 3, 2018 by Raymond Hackney 3 Comments

Each year, many tech companies and websites do something special for April Fools’ Day, and Google has done some of the best. They spend weeks and sometimes months preparing elaborate April Fools’ Day jokes, pranks, and/or features – all in good fun. NamePros has been participating each year for the past four years to bring […]

Wrong feeling on a brandable costs me some money

March 29, 2018 by Raymond Hackney 6 Comments

So back in May of 2016 I purchased a 29 domain lot of BrandBucket listed names. Cost $1,500. I really wanted 1 name, Inteleca.com, I liked some of the other 5 letter names and some I really didn’t love, so I thought I would lower the acquisition cost of the portfolio purchase and liquidate some […]

As you know or may not know, Kickstart Commerce offers affordable domain leasing for our growing portfolio of domain names.
