Apple wants to trademark “App Store” Microsoft does not agree.

Techcrunch is reporting on the tm application for App Store.  Apparently Apple believes its not a generic term but Microsoft disagrees.  Interesting position for Microsoft who has a famous tm for a generic word. Is App Store any different than Windows ?
