January 20, 2011 by Raymond Hackney 8 Comments

When looking at the final 2010 list on DN Journal, there were 0 .us sales in the top 100 cctld list. In contrast there were 12 .co, 6.tv and 3.me. Even 1 .io and 1 .to made the top 100. I am not hating on .us, I like .us and cannot understand why the poor […]

Allthings.tv stepping up their game

January 18, 2011 by Raymond Hackney 4 Comments

Many know I started the .tv subforum at Namepros. The sub forum for many years was the only place for discussion and wholesale selling of .tv. Allthings.tv has been around for awhile, but has really taken their game up to another level.  The site is breaking news and thanks to their moderator Ammudamus has plenty […]

A new shortening service would like to be your choice for video related content

January 18, 2011 by Raymond Hackney Leave a Comment

Looks like there is a new url shortening site out there today. Sea.tv.  The owners would like Sea.tv to be the choice for those sending video links. The thought is that by using the .tv extension there is the implied notion of the link being video related. I used the site for a youtube video http://sea.tv/U […]

Sports.tv picked up for $54,000

January 1, 2011 by Raymond Hackney 4 Comments

Sports.tv which was a $100,000 premium under the old system was dropped.  It was dropped by Sheeraz Hasan the owner of Hollywood.tv. The name was priced at $54,000 with non premium renewal.  The name was registered and currently under whois privacy, although from looking at the landing page we are confident who registered the name. In […]

The psychology of auctions

December 20, 2010 by Raymond Hackney 1 Comment
