One year ago The big news in the new gtld space was the $175,000 sale of My.life. The domain was purchased for $100,000 up front and the other $75,000 due by the end of the year. This is the largest .life sale ever reported.
MyLife.com is a developed website that has had some problems with the law. According to FTC.gov
The Department of Justice filed a lawsuit on behalf of the FTC. It charges that in addition to violating the FTC Act with misleading claims, MyLife violated consumer protections of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), used misleading billing practices, in violation of the Restore Online Shoppers’ Confidence Act (ROSCA), and misrepresented its refund and cancellation policies, in violation of the Telemarketing Sales Rule (TSR).
My.Life is now a developed website with a popular app. I looked into the background behind the two ladies that founded the company. Jamie Price and Julie Campistron were profiled in an article last year on Health.com. The original name for the company was Stop, Breathe & Think.
The app costs $9.99 a month for a premium membership. You can check that out here.
