QRapp.com from $501 to $10,000

October 8, 2020 by Raymond Hackney

QRapp.com

QRapp.com was sold on NameJet for $501 in 2016, the 4 year hold paid off for the domainer who bought it, selling it on Sedo today for $10,000.

QR code abbreviated for Quick Response code are very popular, so it’s easy to see the desire for this name. Huge Domains owns QRCodeApp.com.

A few years ago there was interest in LLapp.com domain names. I know Morgan Linton was buying them. It’s been a popular keyword in .com.

I actually picked up HOapp.com and sold the name for $1,888 back in 2016. Turned out it was bought by a Chinese company but it’s the name Hoapp.

NORDICGAMEBITS.COM dropped for a second time, the first time it went for just $165, the company that owned the name let it drop in 2018 as well. This time it went for $2,750.

NordicGameBits is an online media platform that inspires Nordic game-projects and companies, thus bringing the entire gaming industry in the Nordic region forward. It writes about the most interesting Nordic game-projects, as well as covers the industry as a whole in order both to give every aspiring talent and existing game-developer a place to get their daily news and share their knowledge.

NordicGameBits has created a hub for everyone interested in game development in the Nordic, and through its platform it helps boost the growth of the entire industry by sparking discussions, encouraging debate, and facilitating knowledge sharing. It is based in Aarhus, Denmark. Source

    Qrapp.com

If this ever takes off, I imagine it could be the butt of some joke. Sound it out. ‘crap’ .com is what I get.

No big deal though just a little funny. Maybe QR.APP is better. That’s not so funny.

.app is a magical ngtld. It makes sense for apps. All the other niche ntld don’t make sense.
