Domain Investing Stats and Tips

Tech.pro the fourth highest reported .pro goes for a lot less the second time around

Domain Name Sales action May 8 2020

Taking a look at Friday’s domain name sales action and names that transacted for the second time around.

Sometimes it’s as simple as the name expired and it’s not an end user buying but rather a domain investor. Sometimes it is a sale to another end user. Other times the name even though expired is a bit more trendy and trades at a higher price.

Tech.pro the fourth highest reported .pro sale of all time did not fare as high the second time around. The name sold for $25,500 in 2012 on Afternic. It closed today at Dynadot for $3,250.

Aiadmk.com went the other way, it sold back in 2013 for $2,200 at Afternic and closed at GoDaddy today for $5,405. Some background on AIADMK.

WeightLossDiet.com sold for $1,553 on Sedo back in 2016, it closed at Flippa for $10,600.

OnlineTreatment.com was sold in 2016 by BuyDomains for $2,499, the domain closed at GoDaddy today for $1,158.

Respot.com sold for $2,088 back in 2011 on Afternic and closed Friday at GoDaddy for $760.

AK33.com closed on the same day in 2018 for just $127, today it closed at $800. Like I said yesterday, I find these interesting because they are the same parameters or trading environment. Expired at GoDaddy, bid on by domain investors.

GeminiPlastics.com closed last year on 5/8 at $137 this year $449 on GoDaddy.

WebsiteAdvice.com closed last year on 5/8 at $1,034 this year $910 on GoDaddy.

AcademicDiscounts.com sold for $2,000 back in 2012 on Afternic and closed at $335 today on GoDaddy auctions.

HomeGrownFamilies.net closed last year on 5/8 at $1,100 this year $205 on GoDaddy.

ThatsGold.com sold for $2,500 on Sedo back in 2014 went for just $165 on DropCatch on Friday.

ExchangeCBD.com this is not a big one, but shows maybe a slight drop in interest in longer not spot on CBD names. Last year on 5/8 $250, this year $151 at GoDaddy Auctions.

ArgoMarketing.com sold for $1,895 in 2013 on Afternic and closed today at $112 at GoDaddy.

uJob.org sold for $535 in 2011 on Sedo, closed at $100 on GoDaddy auctions.

I used to read Tech.pro so often, there was high quality contents.
with closing price at 3K, was a good price especially if end user acquired it.
