Taking a look at sales on Namebio, I took a look at the last three months, August, September and October. I went through each day and tallied monthly totals. August domain sales kicked September’s butt when it’s usually the opposite way.
Usually we think of August as very slow month for sales, which it usually is. But August actually outperformed September and October this year.
Sales for August (31 days) $4,903,658
Sales for September (30 days) $3,971,693
Sales for October (31 days) $4,363,801
I have to say I found it interesting August was almost $1million more than September. I know a lot of people were posting on Namepros or Twitter looking for August to get over and for sales to pick up, but on the whole it was a stronger month.

Thanks for taking the time to compile Raymond. I agree it’s surprising August did so well.

July and August were slow for me.
September and October things picked up signifcantly.

That’s interesting data Raymond, thanks for taking the time to add up the monthly numbers.
It made me think about the recent DomainNameWire podcast featuring Jeff Gabriel. He projected that UniregistryMarket sales will reach $60M this year (up dramatically from about $40M in 2017). This is what he said:
“…We finished a little bit above $40M in sales [in 2017] and then this year we’re tracking to break $60M in sales in 2018.”

$60M annually is an average of $5M per month. Comparing this unreported sales number with the TLDinvestors report illustrates the massive scale that UniregistryMarket has achieved.
For example, August could be reported like this:
AUGUST SALES
$4,903,658 (Namebio combined venue reported sales)
$5,000,000 (UniregistryMarket unreported sales)
