Some of the largest global companies and brands like Apple, Amazon, or T-Mobile are registering new gTLDs in large […]

September 24, 2020 by Raymond Hackney 3 Comments

Earlier this month Tiger.io sold for $28,888 at Park.io. The buyer is now revealed to be Tiger Communications PLC out of Hampshire, England. September 22, 2020 by Raymond Hackney Leave a Comment

Each domain investor should know the value of their domain names. Before 2014, we had 3 main domain extensions in internet space: .com, .net and .org. Domain names in those extensions have more-less the same yearly renewal fee (approximately $10), and as their sales were recorded in public sources for 30 years, it becomes easier […]

Looking at ConstitutionUS.com today, the expired domain name that closed at $103,000 at GoDaddy auctions on 9/12. The domain has updated in the whois and now shows the Registrant Country: IL for Israel. The site was owned by George W. Baltzell, a Missouri resident who sadly passed away at age 69 last June. September 20, 2020 by Raymond Hackney 2 Comments

Detour.com was registered in 1994 and sold for $15,000 on Moniker in 2009. The domain name was then developed into a GPS based walking tours website. September 19, 2020 by Raymond Hackney 1 Comment

“Ouch, I just saw a really HORRIBLE website address!”, I complained to my friend after I recently saw an add on LinkedIn. The add, created by a large government organization, was graphically very nice, and apparently they tried their best to attract students to find more information on their website about one of their programs, […]

Initial offer on Voice.com was $150,000

September 17, 2020 by Raymond Hackney 1 Comment

Michael J. Saylor is the CEO of MicroStrategy the company that sold Voice.com for $30 million last year. CryptoNews.com published a story (hat tip to George Kirikos) today on how the negotiations went. They apparently started at $150,000 and Saylor would not get on the phone with the buyer until the offer hit $22 million. […]

The domain name was registered in 1998 and now the buyer is shown to be Daring Foods Inc. which was operating at DaringFoods.com. Founded in 2018 […]
