Bimber.com and OrganicShampoo.com failure to pay leads to wins for Drop catcher

October 3, 2020 by Raymond Hackney Leave a Comment

I started writing in July about GoDaddy failing to collect payment and it becoming DropCatch’s gain. I wrote about everydaycounts.com closing at auction on GoDaddy for $2,601. The domain name was at Tucows not GoDaddy. The winner did not pay and the domain was left to expire. DropCatch got the windfall. It went higher the […]

Godaddy Just Made a Big Change – Will Your Domain Sales Increase?

July 30, 2020 by Raymond Hackney 10 Comments

GoDaddy just made a major change to their bulk search feature… Huge change! Suite101.com once one of the fastest growing sites – Closes at $35,501 Sunday

July 19, 2020 by Raymond Hackney Leave a Comment

Sunday was a hot day with excessive heat warnings in place. Things were heated at GoDaddy as well for Suite101.com. Suite101 was a collaborative publishing site based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It formerly generated revenue from advertisements and shared that revenue with contributors; but effective November 1, 2013, that revenue sharing program was terminated. […]

“Demand for closeouts is extremely high”

June 15, 2020 by Raymond Hackney Leave a Comment

DomainVP asked a question and started a thread that I found interesting. We all know the rules for expiring domains at GoDaddy auctions when they are registered at GoDaddy. Sometimes when it’s the expiry stream from another registrar you can still get the registrant renewed. You don’t get the name and get a refund. But […]
