You hardly ever see these auctioned on Namepros

December 29, 2022 by Raymond Hackney 1 Comment

I came across an auction on Namepros that you normally don’t see. An LLL.com with a starting price of just $10,999 and one $1 increments. You cannot have a reserve on a Namepros auction so this will sell for what it sells for. The domain is ZQG.com. According to DotDB.com ZQG is registered in 27 […]

October 10, 2022 by Raymond Hackney Leave a Comment

Back in July two 3L.coms sold for north of $300K on the same day. GRT.com and DDL.com. GRT.com was acquired for $10,000 at Sedo back in 2006, the domain name was a developed website for many years. In 2019 Archive.org shows a company out of New Hampshire calling itself GRT Mobile Solutions. The next year […]

Vey.com closes at $30,250 second time around on the reauction

July 30, 2022 by Raymond Hackney Leave a Comment

Vey.com was registered back in 1997, sold for $4,000 in 2007 at Sedo. It was left to expire and caught by DropCatch. The auction closed at $48,250. It was unpaid and reauctioned, it closed on Saturday at $30,250. Closing on a Saturday in the summer probably didn’t help with the bidding action. According to DotDB.com […]

SNE.com expires closes at $63,499

July 17, 2022 by Raymond Hackney 1 Comment

SNE.com closed at $63,499. The domain name expired at GoDaddy. It had previously closed at $25,005 back in 2012 at GoDaddy auctions. I do not believe the name changed hands as the owner remained the same. Sperasoft a leading game co-development company headquartered in the heart of Silicon Valley. Their website is up and running […]

Vey.com purchased for $4K in 2007 left to expire and auction at DropCatch

July 9, 2022 by Raymond Hackney Leave a Comment

Vey.com was registered back in 1997, it looks like a German registrant sold the domain name for $4,000 in 2007 at Sedo. Checking out the whois history it looks like the domain name traveled the world and might have been sold again as one entry shows Escrow.com in the whois records. Whoever took ownership of […]

Byn.com from $25K to $94K

July 4, 2022 by Raymond Hackney Leave a Comment

Byn.com sold for $25,015 back in 2015 at Sedo. The domain name resold today on Flippa for $94,000. The domain name forwarded to a QEIP.com landing page and showed an asking price of $294,000. Quite the drop in price but you need the perfect buyer to hit those end user asking prices. Something like when […]

Quick flip on KVQ.com

June 17, 2022 by Raymond Hackney Leave a Comment

I wrote a piece on how the ugly LLL.coms are much harder to extract solid value. One of the names in the post was a recent sale KVQ.com, it sold for just $10,502. The buyer was able to do a quick flip for a solid R.O.I. They sold the domain for $15,000 at Flippa. The […]

When it comes to LLL.com q and v are a tough combination

June 4, 2022 by Raymond Hackney 1 Comment

Over the last two years there have been just 8 reported LLL.com sales under $20,000. The common theme? Q and V. All but one sale contains at least one and 4 contain both. These are difficult names to sell, you need to find the perfect end user that has the right combination for the letter […]

$550,000 buyer of GCP.com buyer revealed

May 25, 2022 by Raymond Hackney Leave a Comment

GCP.com sold at the end of March for a whopping $550,000. The domain name was owned by a company called GCP design and marketing. Get Creative People. The domain name now forwards to GLPCP.com. They are an investment firm with a background in Global logistics. I would imagine they will get around to running the […]
