But those are not sufficient choices. “Security” and “Domain Management” don’t quite cover all the exigencies I fear. You might be assuming the smooth, continued operation of the registrar, and asking about these four features if all other things are equal. But can you really assume anything with a registrar? What about one that goes rogue, like Epik or Registerfly? And what about when a registrar is restricting or closing down part of its operations, like Enom did a few years back, making it necessary for so many customers to move huge numbers of domains quickly? Domainers who’ve been around for ages have run into many such scenarios.
In that case, elements like integrity, continued effectiveness of operations, customer responsiveness, and the like matter to some of us more — and usually have to come before price.
