We had some fresh .xyz domain name sales hit Namebio today, Powerhouse.xyz was the top sale at $49,988. I believe these were all Swetha’s sales but with the negativity she has faced over the past few months I wonder if that’s why these are not being listed as Swetha.xyz for the venue. LevelUp.xyz has a site up and a fresh new X page.
Either which way here are all 5 sales on Wednesday.
powerhouse.xyz | 49,988 USD | 2023-11-29 | DAN.com |
levelup.xyz | 25,000 USD | 2023-11-29 | Afternic |
latch.xyz | 10,000 USD | 2023-11-29 | DAN.com |
foolproof.xyz | 6,000 USD | 2023-11-29 | Afternic |
hypermarket.xyz | 3,750 USD | 2023-11-29 | Afternic |
Why is it that Swetha seems to be the ONLY .XYZ investor with these CONSISTENTLY VERY HIGH sale prices?
This is the reason she has faced negativity and doubt over the years.
Hopefully the sales are legit and not a “SwethGari” scheme hatched by Daniel Negari.
But I still just do not get the abnormally high sale prices Swetha gets for a .XYZ domain. DOT XYZ !!!??!!??
I once owned several good .XYZ domains, among them was Portable.xyz and Myriad.xyz, which I priced at $2,888 each. Never got a single nibble so I let them drop. Now someone has Portable.xyz priced at $179,988! And Myriad.xyz priced at $49,988! I wish them “Swetha Luck”.
I like Myriad.xyz I would have held onto that. Look I have covered Swetha a lot, interviewed her a couple times. I have and then others have also published posts showing end users who have developed websites on names she sold.
Could it be some ruse? Nothing is impossible but it does seem like the only proof has been, “I never sold a name for that high”
I agree some of the prices are super high for an alt extension, and I wish I knew the answer if this was a registry ploy.
But look you have people who are .com centric who call out any other extension selling. There were people who doubted Park.io with .io sales and now I see some people posting that .ai domain sales are fake. To that I say know they are not, at least not any greater than there have been .com fake sales.
Thanks for your reply, Raymond.
No doubt that some end users have developed websites on the names she’s sold, that’s a simple look up.
The doubt/suspicion stems from the super high sale prices that seemly ONLY Swetha gets for .XYZ domains and wondering if those sale prices were exaggerated in order to “pump” the extension.
Yes, you’re right, Raymond. I definitely should have held onto Myriad.xyz, and Portable.xyz, also. If they sell for $49,988 and $179,998 respectively,I’m going to be sick 🙂
Yes I think the skepticism probably does come from the high prices. If it was this person has a 20,000 names and they sell them BuyDomains style in that $1,000 to $3,000 range there might have been no one wondering how they were selling.
I think with a lot of the projects being crypto related that people had big gains from crypto before the pullback and they paid more than you expect.
