It you go back a few more years it can be seen that new tlds sales have been dropping each year for quite a while. .IO and .Co has taken that market.
Absolutely from $5.7m and now below half that.
Aftermarket sales haven’t been dropping. Endusers don’t think to themselves, “How and where do I report this purchase” and new gTLD investors are incentivized to not share so they can rinse and repeat.
I bought a $7 .contact during GA early December and flipped it for $500 a few weeks later (that was an inbound).
I bought a .link that expired and no one wanted in the Dynadot auctions, I hand reg’d it at the end of October when I received an alert saying it was available, had an Afflias broker reach out and say they had a client who wanted it – $1,250.
Of course I could share more but I know you and DomainSnowflake get angry and I wouldn’t want that. Plus I’m not incentivized to share as mentioned – I’m just going to keep doing it.
But keep kidding yourself Snoopy. In fact I’m realizing that you are my assistant in all of this, keeping other investors away from new gTLDs – I should be paying you a commission.
Thank you and please keep spreading the word that no one is buying new Gs.
