Then and Now Domain Name Sales Zendu.com

When we look at the action from Friday, we see a handful of end user sales in the $6,000 to $8,000 range that were left to expire or drop. In most cases these names did not even sell at wholesale for 10% of their retail price.

SequoiaClub.com sold for $8,000 back in 2014 on Sedo. Expired and closed at GoDaddy auctions for $360.

Vacation.mobi purchased back in the early days of 2007 for $8,600 at Sedo. Closed at $126 at Dynadot.

BestSunshine.com sold for $6,000 back in 2015 on Sedo, left to expire and closed at $354 on GoDaddy auctions.

FXmove.com sold for $6,500 on Sedo in 2016 and closed at $405 at GoDaddy auctions.

SkinnyShop.com was a nice flip for BuyDomains in 2018 but left to expire on Friday. The domain auction closed at $1,050. BuyDomains had a 10 bagger.

1,500 USD on 2018-07-25 at BuyDomains

155 USD on 2017-08-08 at GoDaddy

StrengthTrainer.com sold for $3,088 in 2009 on Afternic, it held half it’s end user sale price, closing at $1,451 on GoDaddy auctions.

BuyDomains sold Modbits.com for $1,500 in 2017, buyer let it expire and it went for $152 at GoDaddy auctions.

BranchBooks.com sold for $1,276 on Afternic in 2013 and it closed at $165 on GoDaddy auctions.

TechNYC.com was sold in 2017 at BuyDomains for $1,416. It dropped and went for $750 at DropCatch.

Zendu.com was a domain that expired so a domain investor did not profit but it did go for much more than the last time it sold in 2011 for $355 at GoDaddy auctions, in the same sales environment it closed Friday at $1,900 at GoDaddy auctions.
