Shane Cultra tweeted out he and Travis sold Niq.com for somewhere close to their $250,000 asking price on BrandBucket.
As I have written about before BrandBucket does delve into higher quality names not just the invented brandable niche. Michael Bilde has sold some quality 4L.coms there for big prices.
These would all be 15% commission unless they got a better deal.
- 30% for names below $10,000 USD
- 25% for names between $10,000 USD and $50,000 USD
- 20% for names between $50,000 USD and $100,000 USD
- 15% for names above $100,000 USD
Niq.com has been owned by a few well known players in the domain industry.
It originally sold on Namepros for $8,750 when Michael Sumner of Namebio sold it.
Shane and Travis smartly acquired the name on Sedo for $19,000, a little less than 18 months ago. Any name ending in IQ under $20,000 is an excellent buy in my opinion.
Congrats to Shane and Travis, well done.

Great price, I remember those bilde sales. On those the exact price was announced right? Bushnaq can stop no one from reporting a sale.

Good job …finally he is using brain power to make money.
Now go buy sunscreen.
He needs all the money to move out from that sheethole place…too hot, too cold and no culture.
Time to move to Hawaii!!

That’s a nice name, I like the descriptions and example Sumner used in the namepros thread.
Congrats to both men.

Thanks Raymond for the mention. I think this proves yet again that a name that has “been around the block” is still measured by its quality , not its past owners . It all comes down to being there when the ultimate buyer comes knocking

Exactly, congrats again to you and Travis.
