Then and Now 8-1-20 Some 2019 end user domain sales that were left to drop

August 2, 2020 by Raymond Hackney

BuyDomains sold domain names in 2019 that buyers let drop

Saturday’s action saw a few domain names that end users purchased in 2019 that were left to expire in 2020.

BuyDomains had two sales in late 2019 where the buyers did not renew and who knows maybe BuyDomains snapped them back up. (We will have to wait and see who got them).

BuyDomains sold EagleAwards.com for $1,700 on 12-26-19 and the buyer let the domain name drop. It closed at DropCatch for $139.

BuyDomains sold FixTheRoads.com for $2,400 on 10-7-19 and the domain dropped, closing at DropCatch for $115.

Find You Domain sold RadarX.com on 10-7-19 as well. They sold the domain name for $5,625 at Sedo. The domain closed at GoDaddy auctions for $2,065.

LONDONPSYCHOLOGIST.COM was one of those things I mentioned before where GoDaddy did not secure payment and allowed the domain to drop, this let’s DropCatch benefit most times. This name closed at GoDaddy for $315 and DropCatch took home $169.

Another GoDaddy loss, DropCatch gain happened with CannaFlavor.com. It closed on 6-13-20 at $233, non payer, left to drop and DropCatch took home $333.

ADVN.com saw the fourth time it changed hands publicly. It closed at $2,550 on Saturday at GoDaddy auctions.

3,000 USD on 2008-10-26 at Sedo

3,500 USD on 2008-09-16 at GoDaddy

1,595 USD on 2008-08-19 at GoDaddy

One theme in 2020 is that the numerics that closed at GoDaddy auction in 2019 are seeing prices lower in most cases in 2020.

667767.com closed on 8-1-19 at $1,950 and closed at $232 this year.

It would be nice to know who the buyers are and why they let them dropped after spending so much money.

These names never did anything with the names. When looking at archive.org there is no site. The 3 sales here that were purchased in 2019 did nothing. Of course with whois obscured at many places or privacy enabled immediately you see nothing.

I guess people loves to waste money.
