Two days ago I wrote about GoDaddy valuations changing and them dipping for most of the names where I knew the valuation exactly.
NH.tv a name of mine was valued at $11,833 and it’s now at $8,935.
Anchorman.net I just sold on Namepros when I posted the auction and quoted the valuation, it was $1,896. Now it’s $1,180.
Well surprise, surprise, surprise the valuations are back up. Trading like a wild cryptocurrency ride.
Nindia.com which was valued at $2,800, dipped to $1,729 it’s now back to $2,994. The previously mentioned NH.tv is now higher than where it was before the dip, $13,985. Anchorman.net back up to $1,583 after dipping to $1,180 from $1,896.
ip.vc which I own was around $5,500 then dropped to $4,500 and it’s now at $6,536.
So this is a lot of change for two days, maybe GoDaddy just having some fun.
That’s wild they would change again that fast. I like NH.tv.
I am guessing it’s purely algorithms that are tracking various data points on the GoDaddy platforms and using sales / search volumes and updating daily which is interesting if that’s the case.
If this is the case it makes the ‘valuations’ even more worthless than they were before hand.
Same here Liliger.com from 2,400 to 1,640
Thanks Raymond. Elliot Silver reported that Paul Nicks stated it was an algorithm upgrade gone bad. They rolled back the upgrade.
