So back in April of 2017 there was a big fixed price sales post on Namepros. 800 domains listed one that I liked was CryptoRocket.com. All these domain names were listed at $39.
I saw the thread after it was open for a day or two, no one had posted sold on any domain name yet. It was late and I thought let me go to bed, there isn’t any action in the thread yet, I will do some checks on the name and probably buy it.
Of course the next day I get around to looking at the name and go back to the thread, SOLD!!! Procrastination you suck.
I thought damn, why did I just not post sold? I then see it was someone I knew, Kevin Fink who bought the name. Well at least it went to someone I am friendly with in the business.
Back in April of 2017 I owned zero crypto related domain names. I knew I wanted to add a few and I probably waited close to a year as nothing matched up, quality/price wise. I think I got CryptoCreate.com which I later sold on Sedo.
Still CryptoRocket bugged me, not going to lie, I probably typed the name into a browser once or twice a month. Kevin had the name parked, and I did not see him mentioning it on Namepros. I never mentioned the name to him in our email conversations about other domaining stuff.
So when I congratulated him a few days ago, I think it took him by surprise. I had been looking at a GoDaddy auction for a crypto domain name, what do I see in the right hand corner?
Congratulations to Kevin on a great sale, very happy for him and for me, time to stop procrastinating. This was a buy it now sale, I might have priced it a bit lower than Kevin so I would not have done as well.
The site is already up and running as a Crypto and Forex trading platform. CryptoRocket Limited, First Floor, First St Vincent Bank Building, James Street, Kingstown, St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

Congratulations Kevin and good on you Raymond, most would not highlight their goof in missing out on a huge sale.
Nice looking website.
Now that’s a sale. Congrats Kevin Fink.
Great name and story Raymond- sorry you missed out on it and congrats to Kevin- a really good guy.
We all sometimes need to sleep on a purchase and have had this happen- great ROI for Mr. Fink though.
Mike
Yikes!!
Congratulations, fantastic sale, was this a buy it now or negotiated?
Buy it now, I updated post.
If you’re going to lose out on a sale then Kevin is as good of a person as you can pick. Great guy. Thanks for sharing.
Looks like you do what I do and sit around playing the “lets find a domain sale nobody knows about” game
yeah, Raymond, you may feel bad now
but think how badly the $39 USD seller must feel….
Congrats to Kevin..
its nice to see you share the details Raymond.
a surprising way to find out about the same name in GD…
Thanks,
Ravi
