Joseph Carroll has a Flippa staff badge on Namepros, according to his LinkedIn he was Director of Websites til 2018.
I believe he is now with Brandmo, had started a domains wanted thread at Namepros for a client. Joseph posted a healthy budget of up to $450,000.
He posted today they found a name, River.com.
Quick update as a followup to the post I had created here – I am happy to announce Brandmo has helped our client acquire River.com for an undisclosed amount.
We worked through the Thanksgiving holiday to close this deal with Lumis, who represented the seller and were true professionals. I want to say I enjoyed creating relationships with many of you and reviewing the thousands of naming options sent my way. As Brandmo continues to work closely with buyers seeking a brand, I hope to continue to share and post our brand name requests here on NamePros.
The website is up at River.com for River Financial. The domain name was registered in 1994. River of Stars looks to be the seller.
its called CRYPTOCURRENCY not river or sea or ocean River.com sounds like an insurance company or community bank. I don’t think of Crypto when I hear that name.
No well known brand use tech terms for a company name. Any “cryptocurrency” domain will be dead in 10 years regardless of whether the technology catches on or not.
whats the matter are you one of those bitter guys that missed out on Cryptocurrency. thank god I didn’t. nah Cryptocurrency domains will be around in 100 years. its one of the hottest names on earth even Zuckerberg wants in.
There is no enduser sales volume with the term “cryptocurrency”, 1 $1200 sale this year and a dozen or so mostly in the $100-$200. All bought by domainers to try and resell, not endusers.
If you have bought a bunch of names with that keyword you and missing things entirely and in the category “Clearly a lot of domain investors don’t understand branding.”
hey that’s because THEY ARE ALL SITTING ON A GOLD MINE. I wouldn’t sell either. just develop out their CRYPTOCURRENCY domains little snoopy.
Clearly a lot of domain investors don’t understand branding.
So True. people are going to say to him “so whats the name of your website? oh River.com hmmmm…. so what does river dot com provide or is it an online store etc.?’ and that is going to happen with every person he meets. they are going to have to explain what river . com is.
I was referring to you, if you don’t get that river.com is a great brand then I am not sure why you are into domain names.
“healthy budget” what is it?
This makes no sense, this guy was looking
For a financial name for River Fiannciak, obviously there is one choice, why create a thread, and waste everyone’s time.
Oh wait that is what people on namepros do, you have people with 0 feedback, and most likely $0 bank accounts creating threads looking for 3L’s for $100
