It’s time for GoDaddy to start releasing sales data again

September 17, 2019 by Raymond Hackney

GoDaddy Sales Data

It’s time for GoDaddy to start releasing weekly sales data again. We have Sedo, Web.com with their NameJet/Snapnames monthly report and now Uniregistry is releasing weekly top 20 sales.

So it would be nice for GoDaddy/Afternic to start releasing a sales report, they stopped when they were going public and yes there are some rules on releasing data around an earnings report. Known as a quiet period. GoDaddy should have no problem navigating around this and be in compliance while releasing sales data.

It’s time

Sedo is part of a public company and they manage to do it.

I don’t think GoDaddy will release sales anytime soon. The best they will do is the top 20 just like Uniregistry does.

I also don’t think that GoDaddy doesn’t publish sales because of being a public company. I think they prefer to keep the data private because they use it in their Appraisal Tool. I know they post related sales for each domain but at least they have the edge with all the sales data they have.
