Sales and Trends

Looking back at July here we will examine sales data trends for certain naming categories.

July was a strong month for the domain business that especially ended strong.

Overall Namebio recorded 10,400 sales up from 9,562 total sales ($100 or more) in June. This was for a total dollar amount of $10.4 million. This is up $300,000 from June.  The average sales price was $998. RX.com was the high sale at $1Million.

There were 9 sales that reached 6 figures

Three letter .coms saw 5 sales in July (12 in June)

Four letter .coms recorded 332 sales (down from 414 in June) that brought in $788,600 (up from $573,100 in June). Of those 332 sales, 52 were Chips, (no a,e,i,o,u,v). Those chips brought in $36,900 in sales. Fora.com was the highest 4L.com sale at $285,000.

Popular four letter combo CVCV recorded 3 sales for $387,300.

Numerics there were two 4N.com sale in July 7350.com sold for $29,277 and 3486.com sold for $19,250.

There were 503 5N.com sales in July down from 562 in June, these sales generated $416,700 in sales. The average sale price was $828 up $1 from $827 in June. 12899.com was the high sale at $12,259.

6N.com sales totaled 131 (down from 145 in June) for $118,500. 867777.com was the high sale at $15,850.

Popular Keywords

There are certain keywords that are the most sought after in domain wanted threads, certain keywords that are the strongest when it comes to overall registration numbers.

Media recorded 23 sales ending in media, SMIMedia.com was the high sale at $3,388. The average sale was $611 up from $327 in June.

Labs recorded 9 sales ending in labs with KudosLabs.com being the high sale at $3,600. The average sales price was $928 up from $721 in June.

Online recorded 22 sales ending in online with HoboOnline.com being the high sale at $3,050. The average sales price was $345 exactly the same in June.

Coin recorded 33 sales ending in coin (7 were bitcoin, I thought that important to note) with MMcoin.com being the high sale at $981. The average sales price was $288 down from $326 in June. Coin also recorded 12 sales as the first keyword in a two word combo. CoinDeck.com was the high sale at $12,000. The average sales price was $1,031 up from $628 in June.

CBD recorded 14 sales starting with CBD with CBDcookies.com being the high sale at $5,600. The average sales price was $1,023 up from $657 in June. CBD recorded 9 sales ending in CBD with HempOilCBD.com being the high sale at $423. The average sales price was $264 down from $423 in June.

Crypto recorded 39 sales starting with Crypto (up from 23 in June) with CryptoPilot.com being the high sale at $2,999. The average sales price was $320 down from $507 in June. There were 9 sales with crypto as the second keyword, with WorldCrypto.com being the high sale at $3,201. Average sales price was $596.

Capital recorded 17 sales ending in Capital with MilesCapital.com being the high sale at $2,019. Average sales price was $441 up from $260 in June.

Smart recorded 15 sales starting with Smart. SmartMagazine.com was the high sale at $2,049. Average sales price was $414 down from $736 in June.

Libra has been popular with registrations, there were two reported sales in .com cLibra.com at $754 and InvestLibra.com at $500.

New GTLD’s

The new gtld’s generated 54 sales down from 56 sales in June. Total sales came in at $138,800 up from $117,600 in June. The high sale was DX.media at $20,000.
