Looking back at May here we will examine sales data trends for certain naming categories.

Overall Namebio recorded 10,200 Total Sales ($100 or more) for a dollar amount of $7.1m. This is down $700,000 from April. The average sales price was $703. Free.games was the high sale at $335,000.

Short names

Three letter .coms saw just 2 sales in May (4 in Apri)

rpo.com 50,000 USD 2019-05-30 Sedo
vzn.com 23,700 USD 2019-05-29 NameJet

Four letter .coms recorded 602 sales (up from 495 in April) that brought in $481,600, (down from $509,300 in April). Of those 602 sales, 91 were Chips, (no a,e,i,o,u,v). Those chips brought in $88,200 in sales.

Popular four letter combo CVCV recorded 6 sales for $58,400.

Numerics there were two 4N.com sale in May 6432.com at $36,500 and 9586.com sold for $25,088.

There were 318 5N.com sales in May, these sales generated $324,100 in sales. The average sale price was $1,019 up from $952 in April. 28678.com was the high sale at $14,833.

6N.com sales totaled 205 (up from 130 in April) for $153,500. 365789.com was the high sale at $20,249.

Popular Keywords

There are certain keywords that are the most sought after in domain wanted threads, certain keywords that are the strongest when it comes to overall registration numbers.

Media recorded 18 sales ending in media, CannabisMedia.com was the high sale at $19,999. The average sale was $1,455 up from $389 in April.

Labs recorded 11 sales ending in labs with DivinityLabs.com being the high sale at $1,095. The average sales price was $394.

Online recorded 23 sales ending in online with MaineNewsOnline.com being the high sale at $3,747. The average sales price was $704.

Coin recorded 18 sales ending in coin with WavesCoin.com being the high sale at $467. The average sales price was $241. Coin also recorded 10 sales as the first keyword in a two word combo. coincraze.com was the high sale at $595. The average sales price was $280.

CBD recorded 23 sales (down from 47 in April) starting with CBD with cbdcandies.com being the high sale at $2,329. The average sales price was $377 up from $343 in April. CBD recorded 10 sales (down from 25 in April) ending in CBD with yescbd.com being the high sale at $2,200. The average sales price was $537 up from $330 in April.

Crypto recorded 22 sales starting with Crypto with cryptorig.com being the high sale at $810. The average sales price was $318 down from $441 in April. There were 6 sales with crypto as the second keyword, with DotCrypto.com being the high sale at $6,000.

Capital recorded 11 sales ending in Capital with HopeCapital.com being the high sale at $1,845. Average sales price was $385.

Smart recorded 21 sales starting with Smart. SmartSurf.com was the high sale at $2,500. Average sales price was $440.

New GTLD’s

The new gtld’s generated 34 sales and brought in $447,900 in sales. The high sale was Free.games at $335,000.

May belonged to WebQuest making 3 of the top 5 sales.
