The top web related sale is SiteWeb.com at $100,000. The name sold on Sedo in 2011. The site is in French, and looks to review certain website builders.
Now when we do these reports looking at a keyword, the top sales are usually always .com. For web the next two sales are non .com. Web.Hosting sold for $52,500 at the 2016 NamesCon. There is just a holding page from Safenames.
Web.tv sold for $45,000 in 2011 that tied BestofTheWeb.com for the number 3 spot. BestoftheWeb.com sold in 2006. Web.tv is a Turkish website. BestoftheWeb.com is developed.
New Gtlds
Of course .Web is coming, a lot of controversy and a lot of money have come into play with this new gtld.
Verisign won the rights for $135 million.
