In this Brandable Bits we are going to look at a new kid on the block, the first BrandBucket podcast and a few other tidbits.
BrandBucket Podcast
Michael Krell released the first episode of the BrandBucket podcast, Michael takes some time to go into the process around acceptance. Michael discusses what kinds of names are automatic acceptance and which will just about always be declined.
I think this podcast is a good idea, this one was pretty short (11min 40 sec), I don’t know if Michael will make them longer in the future. Listen here.
Matchsuite launched
Ryan Colby has launched his own brandable marketplace called Matchsuite.com. OnlineDomain.com broke the news.
Candace Cooke shared some info on Namepros after she emailed Ryan Colby.
Hi Candace,
Thanks for your email. Yes, we are accepting domains for submission. I’ve attached a Media Kit for your review. For names that qualify for inclusion we charge a 20% fee if we can locate a buyer for you. We normally charge a $10 listing fee, however I’m dropping that cost to $7 for a logo until we officially launch in January.
Concerning Exclusivity:
Exclusivity is not required, however we will have some really nice optimized sales landers that we encourage sellers to utilize on their domains. These will be completed over the next 10 days.
Best Regards,
Best Regards,Ryan Colby
Matchsuite, LLC | Managing Director
It will be interesting to see how Matchsuite can do against the likes of BrandBucket and Brandroot.
Nude.com
Nude.com has been listed on Namerific for $1,500,000. The domain is developed. No exclusivity at Namerific so this may just be list everywhere with a big price tag. Cannot see anyone going to Namerific and dropping 7 figures.
They’re Approved
A site was put up to be a wholesale marketplace for BB and Brandroot approved domain names. It looks like the owner has already sold the website.
Root for the underdog, domainers! Whether the extra competition means a new success or a less complacent establishment, you win.
