BrandBucket doubled their sales in January 2016 vs January 2015. The selling price of what they call invented, or what I call made up pronounceables, outshined those of keyword related names. Invented names had an average sales price of $4,944 where keyword related names averaged $3,325.
Keyword brandables made up 58% off all sales vs 42% for invented.
There were 82 sales in January from 47 unique sellers.
Here is some data from the newsletter:
How do we know any of this is even true without seeing the names.
What do you mean how do we know ? they obviously have sales data and come up with the averages that is not too hard a chimpanzee could do that. I’m sure they don’t care whether it’s keywords or invented all 30% in their pocket either way.
GB – I can say I sold a million dollar name. Without the name and data (an article or otherwise) that statement by brandbucket is just a claim.
No one is doubting BrandBucket;s numbers except you. Raymond why do you even allow these trollish comments ?
Be nice if we can see the rows and column of brandable vs keyword names showing names sold with prices attached, then we can see the clear picture of the report.
Probably just make it up.
