The Go Daddy discount code thread on Namepros is one of the most popular threads on any forum. The thread is filled with codes that members find to lower their registration costs. I did not have to renew any Go Daddy names for awhile but now a few came up, so I went to check which codes would get me a renewal in that $8.67 range. I could not find any codes that were that cheap for a .com renewal, I then saw another member had posted what I was thinking, "What's up with all the $10+ renewal fees? What happened to the $8.67 codes? This is ridiculous."
Someone then explained to him that $10.17 is the going rate with a coupon unless you join the Go Daddy discount club.
So it appears $10.17 is the new $8.67.
On the positive side, Paul Buonopane who is tech support for Namepros, has a created a great resource for Go Daddy coupon codes.
He has put up a database of all the codes that have been compiled on the Namepros thread. You can find the extensive database at http://earth2me.github.io/Domains/godaddy-codes-details.html
The database breaks down viral and non viral codes, currencies accepted, and expiration dates.
