Exact Match Search – A look Inward

April 30, 2013 by Raymond Hackney

By: Raymond Hackney

Day in and day out when buying and checking domain names, many
domainers check the exact amount of searches for the keyword or phrase
using the Google Adwords Keyword Tool (GAKT). I took a look inward and
looked at domining terms, websites and  personalities in the domain
industry to see what kind of search numbers there are.

The first number is the Global Exact and the second is the Local Exact (US)

    Godaddy has some really impressive numbers compared to the other selling platforms. All Godaddy has to do now is make the aftermarket domain sales platform easier to manage for people that are looking to buy just one good aftermarket domain. It is way to complicated for the average startup or new business to find a good domain in my opinion. The average buyer would have no clue that they have to click on “auctions” to find a good domain name. That doesn’t make sense to me and that is “Step one” of the buying process but I can bet that most are lost just trying to figure out “Step one”. The “Buy a domain category” should be under the listing “Domains” not Auctions. They put the “Domain buy service” under the Domains listing but if I want to buy a name without using the service I have to find it through the Auctions listing. It doesn’t make sense to me.

    @dman glad you liked it.
    @todd You are 100% correct, I have had plenty of businesses I work with ask me can I just handle it, because they are totally confused. They always ask,”Why do I have to pay $4.99 to bid ?”
