Colors are some of the most sought after domains, combos with a color and a noun or
Color-wheelverb sell frequently for good prices. Color prefixed names that have sold this year include:

RedKite.com $15,000

PinkCow.com $1505

GreenCup.com $1,111

RedViking.com $806

BlackFlamingo.com $206

We took a look at who owns the outright color/.com.

Red.com registered in 1992 is owned by Red Digital Cinema Camera Co. This is a fully developed website that showcases all of the products offered by Red.

Blue.com registered in 1996 was famously sold in 2006 for $500,000. The domain was purchased by the seller in 2002 for $65,000. The sale got a lot of attention and was featured in USA Today. The, domain has been parked since purchased. The whois reads, Domain Administrator San Francisco, CA 94114

Green.com  registered in 1999
Owner by IAC/Interactive Corp and does not resolve, this domain dropped two times. The domain currently does not resolve.

Yellow.com registerd in 1994, Marchex owns the domain and runs a yellow pages type design on the domain.

Orange.com registered in 1993 and is owned by France Telecom- Orange. France Telecom-Orange is one of the
world’s leading telecommunications operators with sales of 45.3 billion
euros for 2011 and has 170,000 employees worldwide at 30 September 2012,
including 105,000 employees in France. Present in 33 countries, the
Group has a total customer base of 227 million customers at 30 September 2012,
including 169 million mobile customers and 15 million broadband
internet (ADSL, fibre) customers worldwide. Orange is one of the main
European operators for mobile and broadband internet services and, under
the brand Orange Business Services, is one of the world leaders in
providing telecommunication services to multinational companies.

White.com registered in 1997
NetTuner owns the domain, parked page

Black.com registered in 1994,the registrant info just says Black.com and has a one page website with the picture of a coffee bean.

Brown.com registered in 1996,owned by Brown Distributing Corp. Since 1919, Brown Distributing Company has grown into a beverage
distribution business with combined sales of over 11 million cases
annually, representing approximately 1,500 different products, and
serving in excess of 6,000 retailers with over 500 employees.

Purple.com registered in 1994, owned by Jeff Abrahamson. Just a purple holding page on the site.
