Domain Investing Stats and Tips

If you can’t get into InternetTraffic.com maybe you should think of a new plan

May 31, 2011 by Raymond Hackney

Everyone in the domaining world knows about its latest parking platform. InternetTraffic.com started by Frank Schilling is off to a great start. Why wouldn't it be ? Frank is both smart and a good guy who can be trusted.

The requirements to join, leave out the majority of domainers. Its a private company that's his call. Shane Cultra did a nice write up on the topic yesterday. http://www.domainshane.com/i-dont-get-it-why-are-large-portfolio-owners-just-now-bitching-about-revenue-share/

What I am looking at is that the other parking companies will try to make up for the short fall. And that will be off the little domainers back. If all the big guys are moving to Frank, do you think they are all going to say cool ? We don't care.  I don't think so, imo and again OPINION, I believe the little guy will get squeezed.  .25 click pay him .18, $1 click pay him .70.

Let's flip the coin, if Frank is getting the majority of the good traffic, then the rest must be crap, Why would Google just not shut out all the other parking companies ? They could say this Schilling guy found a way to get the good stuff and you did not, no need for your traffic anymore. That is just speculation and thinking out loud, but is that impossible ?

I think the little guy needs to focus in on their portfolio and drop a lot of crap.

Know nothing about the topic ? Drop it

Its a TM typo ? Drop it

You thought you would make money parking and it made nothing for the year ? Drop it

Get focused and think about blogging on a topic you know, and add some adsense it will do better than parking a no direct navigation name.

Get focused and stop following domainers you have nothing in common with.

Again IMO

Nice post, I like Cultras post even better. Since the king shuts off comments he found a way to comment and ask some powerful stuff.

Smart article, you and Shane are the new breed. Along with guys like Cyger and Linton this is where the new domainer should spend their time reading. I don’t relate to Rick or Frank, they seem like good guys but I just don’t relate to them in any way.

Parking sucks, and pay for performance will replace it.

I have seen some crappy domains, sell for the price of good domains, there is a fine line there, Rick S owns many adult names, which advertisers do not pay much for anymore.
