Looking at the recent new sales data that Uniregistry shared with DN Journal was interesting. Taking a look at some of the prices attained was eye opening to some and puzzling to others. Commenters on forums have wondered how some names sold for such a high price.
Since we are always looking at brandables on this blog, I took a look at the top 5 sales.
These five names certainly would have been accepted by BrandBucket but would have never gotten the pricing these names sold for on Uniregistry.
The first name is SportsPal.com for $44,000. This name still shows Name Administration as the owner, and is parked at Uniregistry. I have emailed Ron Jackson on this sale.
The second sale is Humann.com, for $39,600. The domain was registered in 1998, adding an extra letter at the end has become trendy lately on BrandBucket with several recent additions. I personally own two names like this Gopherr.com which was registered for a project but I have since found a better name. The other name is Resett.com which has actually gotten a few emails asking for a price.
Humann.com was acquired by Neogenis Labs for rebranding purposes. See they sell Nitrogen Oxide products. The second is for Nitrogen and their tagline is “Live to the Power of N.”
Third on the list is AudioArt.com for $38,000. The domain was registered in 2002. It dropped two times previously.
The domain was purchased by ONSIA, their product is something they call Sound Art.
From their website, Sound Art™ introduces an entirely new way to listen to music in your home, letting users enjoy personalized, custom artwork as well high performance sound. Enjoy beautiful and amazing sound throughout your home while redefining your home entertainment system.
Fourth on the list is SmartShip.com for $37,000. The domain was registered in 1998. Currently under privacy and there is an error message
Number five on the list is DirectStream.com for $30,000. The domain was registered in 2004 with one drop. There is a coming soon page.

Those are incredible prices.
After seeing the logo for Human^n, it’s easier to let Humann.com off the hook. Not just another misspelling for no reason – a misspelling for A reason.
2 R iz humann; too 4give Dvine
Interesting insight to the length of time held, products and services created later and the pricing range. Would be great to know if these were inbound or outbound sales. Uniregistry/Frank has done an outstanding job of extracting value consistently.
Thanks for posting the extra info !
Cheers,
Only Humann.com is a brandable for me.
The first is a poor descriptive, not sure why it has been paid so much, and at the end we see it parked.
The 2 others are pure descriptive domains.
They are not descriptive or generic in anyway.
Some great sales really.
Sound art looks like something that would be really nice. I know that those art museums would feel a bit more animated if you had music playing to the art. Some art really starts to pop when there is music put to it.
