Dimension.io sold for $150K as James Booth still sitting with the .com

James Booth announced that a buyer that was just renting Dimension.io decided to buy it outright at Atom.com. The rental is interesting even Darpan from Atom mentioned he wondered how rentals would work out. For those not familiar, if you rent the name none of the payments made at Atom.com count toward the purchase, it’s not an LTO.

I had a prospect who was interested in renting a name and when I told them the monthly rent does not count toward the purchase they got angry. I said look you can do an LTO.

Now James was in complete control here as he has the .com to go with the .io so if this company becomes super successful and wants to upgrade, they know where to go.

The buyer initially rented the domain at 2% of the BIN price per month.

After 4 months of renting, they decided to pull the trigger and purchase the domain outright.
