While checking out expiring names on Name.com I came across 44 names in a row that show why it’s good to be the registry. 7 payments for 44 domains that will never sell. Leet speak may have it’s place on the Internet but you are never going to make money on a consistent basis.
So if we figure $9 a name for 7 years, times 44 domains we are at $2,772.
$2,770 back in 2010 could have bought some decent domains, 4N, 4L.com etc… Unless you have a plan you can’t waste your money like this, you are always going to drop these names in the end and you never had a chance of making money.
Here is the list of names regged since 2010:

Microsoft owns wind0ws.com
if Microsoft registered a typo with an 0 why would it be stupid for a “domainer” to???
Was that a serious question ? I hope not, Microsoft probably regged that to stop some piece of shit phisher.
This person lost $3K, so I guess that was pretty fucking stupid.
Yea, those are garbage. It’s not like it’s being written down where a 1 or a 0 are overlooked by the human eye and can pass for a character, it’s type in thing. Tuition in the real world is expensive.
I’ve got a couple Microsoft should have registered and I’m selling a few for stupid low prices.
with some effort and a few cold calls you could have sold canad1ans.com for $5k, then double your money on the remaining lot.
Absolute rubbish. A few “cold calls” will not sell worthless domain like that. Would need 1000 calls and an act from Jesus to move it.
but if a fool named snoopy owned them they would be the best doma1ns ever.
You can’t blindly label them all as “garbage”. I personally like c0ins.com and cannab1s.com. It really depends on the industry you are targeting. I think those two can appreciate the play on spelling.
I sold an0nym0us.com for mid-$X,XXX last year through an inbound lead on Godaddy’s buy service. Hand registered in 2010.
“You can’t blindly label them all as “garbage”.
Yes you can….
