By the letter Volume 1 - Four letter .com sales by starting letter

One of the most popular and successful niches in domaining is that of the four letter .com. It is always the most popular request at Namepros for domains wanted.

On Namebio there are 98,678 reported 4L.com transactions of $100 or more. The wild thing is that there are another 3,462 from $1 to $99.

So to have a little fun with letters, in this case four letter combinations. I broke down each letter of the alphabet in starting position. More reported 4L.com sales started with the letter E than any other letter. No surprise X was the least amount of reported sales in first position. The letter N had the highest dollar volume. While the letter C had the highest average sales price at $6,875.

Now some things to remember are certain big one word names comprised a large majority of the dollar volume. For example the letter N gets $15M of it’s $21M in dollar volume from NFTS.com.
