Back on August 21, Mana.org closed at auction for $167,000 at GoDaddy Auctions. Mana.org is the website for the Midwives Alliance of North America. It looks like they were able to successfully renew the domain name and things are back up and running.
The $167,000 price tag seemed high for a domain investor anyway. I think it’s good that organizations that serve a purpose do not lose control of their domain names. Hopefully the people over at Mana.org will have someone keep an eye on their registration. They really should have registered it for 5 years not just one.
