A week ago Dynadot sent out an email about changing their process for domain pushes. There was some pushback on Namepros and now there is another update.
The email from Dynadot:
This is a follow-up email regarding the notice we sent last week about the domain push (Change Ownership) update.
While we received positive feedback with our plan to switch to usernames instead of forum names, we also acknowledge the concern about account security. We want to accommodate those in favor of this new update as well as those that are a bit hesitant, and will now introduce push usernames for Change Ownership requests.
The push username will be the same as your account username by default. If desired, you’ll have the opportunity to edit the push username to something more unique in your account settings (as long as it’s not already taken in our system).
As an extra measure of security, we’re also adding an optional email address field in the domain push overlay. What this means is you can enter the receiving account’s push username and their account email address to ensure the request is being sent to the correct recipient.
The changes in this email will go into effect on March 1, 2023 00:00 PST. We won’t make updates on February 15th as originally planned.
Please note that although forum names won’t be used for domain push orders anymore, they’ll still be used in our marketplace and forums.
Thank you,
Team Dynadot
