A couple days ago Swetha posted the sale of Sino.xyz for $119,111. The buyer of the domain name is the company behind Sino.com. It’s interesting that a non blockchain/web3 company, (where we have seen the most .xyz action) paid the highest amount ever for a word in .xyz. The only three higher sales are single digit .xyz domain names.
Sino is one of Hong Kong’s leading property developers with their core businesses in property development and investment.
Right now the domain name just forwards to the .com, it will be interesting to see if they do anything special with the .xyz domain name.
