Back on July 20 SmartAboutMoney.org closed at $141,000 at GoDaddy auctions. The website was run by The National Endowment for Financial Education. The domain name had a great link profile according to Ahrefs.
Smart About Money retired on July 31, 2021. Learn more about this decision. Maybe someone over at NEFE.org saw the closing auction price and got the name back because it’s back under their control.
The domain name is at ENOM so they did have time to renew even after the auction closed.
Smartaboutmoney.com actually expired a few months after the .org shut down and went for $571 at GoDaddy auctions. The buyer was Huge Domains who now has it listed for sale for $16,395.
