Namepros has a new look and some new functionality. They went into read only mode last night and things look a bit different.
Welcome to the new NamePros in November!
Today marks the first step toward a lot of positive and exciting changes coming to NamePros. You’ll notice that most of what you loved is still here, and we’re working hard to bring back even more.
And that’s only the beginning! We’ll be bringing you regular updates, sometimes weekly, to add the features you’ve requested (please vote on features you want to see first!) and improve your experience.

I have noticed that the stats under a member have changed a bit. You no longer see the number of likes and posts someone has but rather an impact score.
Older version looked like:
Below a thread you now see similar threads like you do on many blogs. It’s an interesting change. One change is the chat room.
It’s now a thread.
NamePros Chat is now a thread—this thread!—but, it’s a special thread.
Features:
- Unlimited: Post as many times as you want; chat messages do not count toward your post count.
- Indefinite: Edit your chat messages whenever you want; there’s currently no time limit on editing.
- Private: Only members can view these chat messages; search engines can’t access them.
- Fast: Post as fast as you can! Unless you’re a robot; that’d be too much.
- Transact: Open for business 24/7 = 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!
I am not sure how a thread is seen as a chatroom, especially in 2021. But people have Twitter and Discord and a whole host of other tools. Many did not like the spam fest that was Namepros chat and I guess they got tired of the complaints and people reporting who they did not like.
I just don’t know how the people who came in and actually chatted can keep up between, “Yo who wants MetaOrgasm.online, just $79?”
Last year some mentioned interest in a verified marketplace, that is not in this update but maybe down the road if enough members want.

Namepros simply upgrated to the new xenforo software which brings it inline with a more modern look and feel and probably ends some of the old customization’s they have been using. So if you compare them to DNForum.com you will notice the software is now much more similar and even though both forums will be using customized addons the underpinnings will be very similar.
It had to happen because namepros has been running on a customized outdated version of xenforo for a long time and eventually they would have lost out on all the new stuff xenforo is bringing out. Now with the new update in place namepros can take advantage of the new features.
So probably a smart move on their behalf, especially because it creates a sense of familiarity from users accustomed to the xenforo software on other forums.
Now they need to get rid of the useless unreasonable Moderators- can’t tell you what you did wrong and all they do is cut and paste the policy and some don’t even write Kinglish
