Again DropCatch benefits when GoDaddy fails to collect the cash. Leeo.com expired and closed at $9,112 back on July 23. The domain name was not paid for and left to drop.
DropCatch caught the name and it closed at $10,478.
The other part to the story is that Leeo.com was sold back in 2013 for $20,000. The owner allowed the domain name to expire 8 years later. It was a Smart Alarm. Archive snapshot here.
Last month NameJet got the cash on DYW.com after GoDaddy failed to collect. DropCatch got $13,000 for SuperCharging.com when GoDaddy failed to collect $50,000.

godaddy should toss these in the closeouts when winners fail to pay. at least they would get 50 bucks then.
Tony says
Please explain to me how this can happen, ie, Godaddy failing to collect and renew. I thought Godaddy goes to 2nd and 3rd bidders and on down the list if the winning bidder does not pay. Is this no longer the case or do I have it wrong altogether? Obviously their current system is broken and they are too big and slow to do anything to fix it.
