Auction.io sold for $100,000 back on 4/14. It’s now live. The buyer was AuctionSoftware.com and the site might be something an investor might want to check out if they are interested in running their own auction site. I am not affiliated with Auction.io in any way and this is not a recommendation as I have not walked through the entire process.
It does look interesting though and I would love to hear those with a background in ecommerce and ecommerce software to give their thoughts.
The biggest draw back I see is promoting your auction site, it’s hard enough to promote your auctions at a highly trafficked website.
They do list a portfolio of sites using their Auction.io platform.

It’s at least worth a look if you ever had any thoughts about running your own auction website.
Somehow the website is on the blacklist of my antivirus software Avast and therefore I cannot open it. That might be caused by how the domain name was used by its previous owner.
Funny how the site is “now live” and immediately claims “1,000 satisfied customers”.
I think that’s clients of AuctionSoftware.com I am not sure but that’s probably where they are getting that.
