January .Ai auctions led by Scorpion.ai

January 5, 2021 by Raymond Hackney

.Ai domain names

Whois.AI concluded their auctions for January and Scorpion.ai was the top closing price. Only 45 auctions this time around. 24 of those .ai auctions closed at $1,000 or above. In December, 22 auctions closed at $1,000 or more.

Last year I hand registered a few KeywordAI.coms. I actually got a Christmas gift on Christmas Eve when Afternic sold MarchAi.com. BoardroomAi.com received an offer a couple days later.

Knowing that Mr.Berkens and Mr.Schwartz own Boardroom.com with a large asking price, I am hoping to see if this prospect will raise their price for BoardroomAi.com.

How much is my name board.ai worth?
    I bought at this auction assets.ai .

      January 6, 2021 at 10:51 am

      I think it’s worth more than $25k.
If I sell it in a hurry, I will make a deal at $10k.
Assets.ai is a good enough name.
I registered devsecops.ai (hand reg) and sold it for $10k a few months ago.
Looking back, I think it’s worth over $30k.
      I own 400+ .ai names.

I took up .ai names for AI and robotics first in the world in 2011 and advertised a lot of them until they went on sale. My first name sold in 2014, ml.ai for $1K. My personal best is 27,182 for xxx.ai . This price, as is easy to understand, is related to Euler’s number. I practically only deal with .ai names. Now I have 858 .ai names. You can find my portfolio here http://aaa.ai . I’ve also posted information about some of .ai names collections on my website https://pr.ai/forum2363. Is your portfolio open? Can watch it?
I associate the value of the name board.ai with 1. board games, 2) electronic boards, 3) company management, 4) company Board International S.A. If anyone wants to buy for 10K, I will sell.

ml.ai is a great name because of machine learning, I could see that going for a lot of money.

board.ai I would value at 1-2k because I also think board games too which isn’t really related to tech and in this case it falls into a similar category as those in the article at 1k-2k (there is also the “bored” vs. “board” spelling issue).

I have quite a few .ai/.io domains and as you know the renewal costs can add up so personally I’ve let some go in the 1-2k range and have been happy that my ROI and turnover keep me profitable.

Just look at the prices and keywords of those that sold. In the list above I think that tool.ai is better than board.ai and that sold for $1,420.

Now, thanks to the series with Beth Harmon, the popularity of chess has grown fantastically. According to Alexa rating, they overtook the coronavirus.
      https://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/chess.com
      https://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/worldometers.info

Recently the best chess website chess.com wanted to buy my name chess.ai , so I put up a price of 64K. And board games include chess. By the way, I am a pretty decent chess player. My profile on this chess site https://www.chess.com/member/igor-gabrielan

Yes, I have forgotten the importance of the board as a teaching and demonstration subject. There is also a board for advertising. The whiteboard.ai is currently on sale on Sedo for 25K, the blackboard.ai on dan.com for 18K. How can a board be sold cheap in such conditions?
Such a multifaceted and valuable word is rare. So I took the advice of witty poly and set the price for Sedo at 25k.

  4. Igor Gabrielan says

    January 7, 2021 at 12:21 pm

Perhaps the tool.ai is better, but need to consider that this is a sale, and everything is much cheaper at a sale. We are talking about prices for end-users. It is unlikely that the current owner of the tool.ai will sell it cheaply. I also think that tools.ai are more valuable than tool.ai . For example, I have names bots.ai apps.ai apis.ai and I think they are more valuable than bot.ai app.ai api.ai . Although this is probably the subject of an eternal dispute and a difficult question, which is better, the singular or plural. For example, at one time I could do hand registration of sport.ai and sports.ai , and only registered sport.ai , but it turns out that sports.ai is better. And the music.ai sold for $ 101,500 , and for the musics.ai I recently made a hand registration. I have arts.ai . Is it better or worse than art.ai?

    • Igor Gabrielan says

      January 7, 2021 at 12:30 pm

And which is better, asset.ai or assets.ai ? It seems to me that assets.ai are better.

      • Bryan says

        January 7, 2021 at 2:42 pm

I agree in these cases the plural is better assets.ai to me is more valuable than asset.ai, tools.ai is better than tool.ai and boards.ai is much better than board.ai.

I really cannot think of a use for board.ai or boards.ai though and there is a real problem with people being able to spell (board vs bored). This significantly lowers the value in my opinion.

I think your bots.ai and apps.ai are extremely valuable. I could see assets.ai going for 25k, bots.ai and apps.ai each going for at least 50k, but board.ai isn’t in the same category as those names, I think that it is closer to the names listed in the article at 1-2k (because of the singular, the spelling confusion and for this name I think there are other options as it’s not a tech keyword).

        Good luck!

          January 7, 2021 at 3:47 pm

          I have both names, the board.ai and boards.ai .
There was a precedent quite recently when the company moved from .com to .ai ! Expert System S.p.A. moved from expertsystem.com to expert.ai .
At the same time, expert.ai was the most expensive so far of the known purchases of names, for 95K euros!
I do not expect that Board International S.A. will go from board.com to board.ai , but it can buy in addition.

  5. Keven says

    January 7, 2021 at 3:24 pm

The names in the articles that make the most sense are numbers.ai and contacts.ai but I don’t think that many investors will pay even these prices when there are alternatives.

Igor I checked your site and you have many amazing names $100k plus in my opinion. But there are also names that aren’t so great. I know you were asking about board.ai but I just don’t see value in it even at 10k for an end-user.

What could board.ai mean – it’s not tech and a board game company isn’t going to want it even at 2k. The board.com owner isn’t going to want board.ai and whoever buys board.ai is never going to get board.com – all of this affects the prices and I think that some of the sales shown in the article are startup prices. Not investors, not established businesses but startups who want to pay 2k for a .ai for their idea.

Of course these are just my opinions. I’ve always watched the .ai screen closely and always reflecting on how it compares to .io. does anyone have thoughts on that?

First, sorry for my foor english.
I think of good name terms as brandables and potential buyers.
Whether or not artificial intelligence is actually related is next.

    Do you know expert.ai seller?
The seller registered the domains expert.ai, digital.ai, and boom.ai by hand reg in early 2018 or grabbed them by drop catch.
(I actually competed with this seller for drop catch)

And soon the seller sold all three domains for a very high price.

    boom.ai (sold on 2018-12-03)
    digital.ai (sold on 2019-03-05)
    expert.ai (sold on 2019-06-02)

Prices for digital.ai and boom.ai have not been disclosed, but the price policy of sellers seems to be very high.

I do not usually publicly name and shame but moments before Igor posted his first comment here, he negotiated a price for board.ai with me. I accepted the price and then it clearly appears he has had second thoughts and changed his mind, while ignoring my follow-up messages (after he told me to make payment at Epik).

After Igor completely ghosted me, I searched the web and found this post and the comments showing that he is offering the domain around for 10k, 25k after he agreed a price with me.

Igor, this is not the way to do business. It is sad that you are (1) not honorable in sticking to a deal where we agreed a price and (2) that you are a coward by ignoring my messages for over a week about payment.

I have since found an alternative name for my project at $2k so I hope you are left holding this name for years and that other people back out of deals, then ignore you, like you have done here.

So beware, if any of you are interested in a .ai domain name that is owned by Igor Gabriela, remember he likes to negotiate, agree a price, tell you to pay at Epik, but then remove the payment link and then shop around for 3-8x the price he has agreed to. Oh and then he will just ignore your messages.

So probably worth avoiding him and looking elsewhere for your .ai domains.

      January 13, 2021 at 2:42 am

Buyers sometimes come up with such intricate plans and devilish tricks to buy at a lower price than sometimes it’s better to ignore them than try to discuss their offers. That is, I have invented two new tactics: 1) ignoring 2) trolling. As for the second tactic, a client recently tired of me with his cunning plans so much that I suggested that he exchange his interest in names for police equipment and champagne, which I could provide. As supplies for the police, I offered vehicles for transporting detainees and tinware for prisons. It worked and the buyer fell behind. So you can at least laugh, and not look for answers to persistent and mysterious proposals. These tactics also work for low balls, which a colleague described in his cool article https://medium.com/@amd_2793/my-million-dollar-domain-hobby-c74b14db4e64 .

        January 13, 2021 at 11:38 am

What are you talking about? Devilish plans? I offered you an amount you wanted another $1,000+ on top and said pay via Epik “cash on the barrel” (your words). I agree. You then go silent and start asking folks here what the domain is worth!!

We had a deal and fo you to now respond here in the thread after a week of this is even more shocking. Who is devilish after all?

So you knowingly agreed to a price for this domain name as a tactic, with the full intention of not going ahead with the deal?

It is really unethical and I curse you with no deals and high renewals. You really seem to have no idea that making a deal with no intention of going through with it is just wrong.

        • Igor Gabrielan says

          January 13, 2021 at 6:47 pm

Recently I was offered a few hundred dollars for a store.ai , and I joked in response that I wanted a thousand. And what, it has imposed obligations on me? Once again, there is a big difference between sales prices and end-user prices. Offer that amount to the auction winners listed here and they’ll laugh in your face. Apparently you are a shaman or a servant of Satan, since you are engaged in curses. But I asked a local very powerful shaman, and he conjured up that a spotted three-legged dog would bite you, you would get infected and die. And you never realize your project, for which you buy a name for 2000. If you feel sorry for this money, remove your curses, and I will ask the shaman to remove his own.

You are trying to blur the facts here. To somehow justify making a deal and then reversing it. Then ignoring messages.

The domain name wasn’t store.ai it was board.ai (completely different level).

The price I offered wasn’t hundreds it was thousands (my offer was higher than most of the auction prices above – plus if you look at the full list of auction prices, many more domains than those in the article) most sold for a few hundred you agreed to $3,400 for board.ai (that was your counter to me, not my offer to you – I accepted your counter).

Igor Gabrielan – your behavior in making a deal telling me to pay then ignoring completion (plus your comments here) really show that you cannot be trusted and that people shouldn’t but domains from you unless they want to waste their time.

Anyone reading this, should look again at the first comment. That is Igor Gabrielan, seller of .ai domain names, asking how much board.ai is worth after he told me he wanted $3,400 and I accepted. He had already told me to make payment. He immediately asked here how much it’s worth and started to ghost me after someone told him it’s worth $25k, which I doubt he will ever receive for this domain name.

That’s why I curse you Igor – it’s so shady what you did and yet you try to justify it.

Please everyone, do yourself a favor, stay away from him or feel free to make fake offers, agree a deal, then ghost him, as he has no problem doing to others.

  8. Igor Gabrielan says

    January 14, 2021 at 9:39 am

I have not made any links or invoices for payment on any marketplace and have not told you to proceed with the payment. You couldn’t make the payment in any way, because there was nowhere to pay. It was not even a zero stage, but a conversation about intentions. You are a liar and a sorcerer, and for this, you will be eaten by the largest Florida crocodile, so the shaman conjured.

  9. Matt says

    January 14, 2021 at 2:55 pm

I offered an amount, you said you wanted $3,400 “on the barrelhead”, I accepted, you had told me to pay at Epik. Then you removed the payment link and you came here and started this comment thread.

As I messaged you about the payment link and told you that I needed to know how to proceed if you removed the Epik payment link – you decided to not reply but apparently try to get more $ posting here “If anyone wants to buy for 10K, I will sell.” (your second comment in the thread above).

You could have replied at any time to my messages saying that you had changed your mind, but you are a coward and untrustworthy – and everyone can now see that.

There is no way to spin this, but I am glad that I have outed you as (in fact it took my messages here for you to out yourself) someone who cannot be trusted. I have moved on from this name and no longer want it for any amount.

I have also got the twitter handle https://twitter.com/BoardAI and I may post the story there too to let anyone even remotely interested in this domain board.ai (or any of your other domain names) know that you cannot be trusted. Do you see? The curse is already working.

    • Igor Gabrielan says

      January 14, 2021 at 7:03 pm

I did not link to epik.com , the only link you made was on dan.com, and I deleted it immediately. Yes, I said cash for the barrel, but I didn’t give you the barrel. Where were you going to put the cash? The absence of a barrel should have led you to the right thoughts. The funny thing is that today a dog almost bit me. True, it was four-legged. Apparently, you are still a strong sorcerer. And so evil that you can probably bite all the Florida crocodiles yourself. But my magic crocodile will still get to you!

      • Matt says

        January 14, 2021 at 10:42 pm

Seriously Igor, what is wrong with you?

Why would you agree a deal knowing you had no intention of going through with it? $3,400 was your figure and it was hardly a lowball $100 offer.

Why dick someone around in this way? Why would this give you pleasure?

        • Igor Gabrielan says

          January 16, 2021 at 12:02 am

Perhaps in this case my behavior was not ideal, but the previous lowballs and the difficulties of life pissed me off.
