CasinoChips.com and Xeex.com GoDaddy’s loss is DropCatch’s win

January 30, 2021 by Raymond Hackney

CasinoChips.com

I have written several times about a no pay at GoDaddy leading to a payday for DropCatch. Sometimes NameJet is the beneficiary like in the case of OrganicShampoo.com.

A couple solid names did not get paid for recently. Last night XEEX.com closed at $3,757 on DropCatch. It closed at $5,658 on GoDaddy auctions.

CasinoChips.com closed at $4,602 at GoDaddy auctions, it did not get paid. DropCatch caught the name on the drop and it closed at $3,687. It is now parked and for sale.

I just feel like GoDaddy needs to find a way to always go to the next bidder like Paul Nicks mentioned they do. These are good names that the next bidder down the line would most likely always pay at their highest hid.

They’re not giving always to the next bidder because then people are gaming their system by having the first bidder to jack up the price too high and go unpaid so the next bidder gets the domain for cheap and both first and second bidder are the same but using different accounts, devices and/or locations.

But still they need to find a way to give to the 2nd highest bidder if it’s genuine and has a good track history of always paying.

That’s not exactly correct Abdul, no disrespect. I agree with you that is a way to game the system and have written about that after some bragged about doing that in the comments at TheDomains.

But it’s not why they are not doing it, because Paul said that is what’s supposed to happen.

Joe Styler said it’s because they don’t always have the time or it’s not worth it to them. But it’s not because they know someone gaming the system.

Thanks for the correction. I wasn’t aware of what you’ve said so nice to learn something new.

But I wonder why they don’t always have the time! I mean everything is automated and if their system is so smart to catch such type of people who’re gaming their system, then there is no need to manually check each and every failed payment. Especially they should give the domains which end up in 4/5/6 figures so they don’t take a huge hit as compare to 3 figs of failed payments.

In recent time, I was awarded the domain where I was 2nd highest bidder and the amount was in 3 figs. So awarding the 3 figs domain and letting 4/5 figs amount of domain doesn’t make sense to me.

By the way, I *never* receive any follow-up comments by email which must be fixed as I need to check your blog manually time to time in order to see if there is any response.

        Thanks!
