More and more 4L.coms selling below $100

The other day a reader emailed me asking me if I thought 4L.coms could dip below $100?

I realize for some $100 is a psychological price point, that does not hold a lot of relevance if they own solid 4L.coms. Those that have more than one or two companies that would fit that four letter acronym or even three and end in c for corp, co or i for inc, etc…

Obviously the bigger issue for the reader was they did not know that many 4L.com trade below $100 and have been doing so for awhile.

This year looks to see the most 4L.com sell for under $100 in the last three years.

2018 saw 155 Sales for $13.4k in Dollar Volume and an Average Price of $86.

2019  saw 250 Sales for $23.1k in Dollar Volume and an Average Price of $92.

2020 is almost at the half way mark and has already posted 190 sales. With the Average Price at $81.

Many people might not care, but this person and I suspect others have had a $100 price barrier they did not want to see pierced.
