Really interesting story on a domain sale from a member at Namepros who has been pretty open with all his domain dealings, good and bad.
Avatar629 sold CoinMena.com for $25,000. That’s a great price for a 2017 hand reg. The wild part is the info the buyer shared with him and how a broker was trying to pull a fast one on Avatar.
From his post:
Side Note: The buyer told me that the broker they hired to get CoinMena.com for them told them that at most CoinMena.com should cost only $25,000. Buyer told me that Broker offered $8,000+ to me which the broker did and that the broker planned to sell it to them for $25,000. Buyer did not like this arrangement he told me and decided to buy from me directly since we were already in contact prior to the broker being brought in. I really did not understand why they felt the need to bring a broker into the mix.
The above example is the reason why many have a NO BROKER mentality and will not use a broker to sell a domain name.
Avatar took it in stride and said he respects the brokers hustle, many members have posted asking him to out the broker. He said he would not do that.
Congratulations to Avatar on a great sale and great story. Check out the whole post which contains a pic of Avatar and the check.

What a dirty business. Great job to the seller to get their price and tell the broker to piss off.
That’s not cool, broker!
Wish we knew which broker it was.
Why would the broker tell his client about the $8,000? Doesn’t make sense.
Agreed that telling the client I am going to buy it for $8,000 makes little sense.
