There was one super quick flip I saw this week at Sedo. h1z1revolution.com sold for $5,000. The kind of name that if you don’t know the story behind the name, people post things like, “what the ****?” or “fake sale” or “this business is rigged, $5000 for that?” It will also spur similar registrations.
H1Z1 is a free-to-play fast-paced battle royale shooter on PlayStation 4. The game is produced by Daybreak Game Company LLC, which has registered tm’s on H1Z1.
But someone back on January 15th of this year decided to risk $9 and came up a winner. It needs to be pointed out the seller got lucky, they decided to register a name that has tm risk. This is not an advisable way to build a portfolio, especially if you are new in domaining. But sometimes you get lucky.
The seller is lucky not for registering a domain name part of which has trademark, rather the buyer went for that long tail domain in spite of having shorter exact TM dot com domain.
Moreover, if you examine ccTLD sales, you will find quite a few this types of sale but not long tail like this rather emd
Domain industry never stop to impress me and this is amazing.
Congrats to seller, great ROI!
And some one my close friend Sold Findable.net $3000 in two month he purchased a domain only $1.
