Domain Investing Stats and Tips

Sale completed, 5111.com moves to Hong Kong

May 1, 2017 by Raymond Hackney

Well it looks like GoDaddy cashed their winning ticket and collected $218,000 for 5111.com. Many were convinced the domain would be renewed and the owner was just seeking a real world appraisal.

Someone emailed me Saturday about the whois not updating and pondered if the domain got renewed.

Well the whois has now updated and a Bai Wei out of Hong Kong is the new registrant.

The previous registrant purchased the domain for $15,000 from Namepros member betthelot.

That is a fake HK address. City and province are stated as Changsha and Human, which are located in mainland China, very far from HK.
