Domain Investing Stats and Tips

The Popcorn Thread of The Week

September 7, 2016 by Raymond Hackney

The popcorn thread of the week is over at Namepros and it deals with .40 domain purchases, Paypal chargebacks for revenge and an innocent member getting caught up in the melee.

Namepros member iAchilles may have summed it up best:

All domains and names posted who are involved in this debacle, are now officially damaged goods.

Destroyed NP rep, any companies who might have an interest in the names posted, or with doing business with you will research you. You can guarantee they will find this thread. All over $80!?

Not to mention there was an innocent party caught in the crossfire.

It is a play by play of what not to do when you feel wronged on a domain transaction.

Communication is the key, don’t accept domains if you feel someone pushed you a domain that you did not agree to, and get the mods involved if a member is not cooperating with you to resolve the situation amicably. Eric Lyon is one of the best in this industry at resolving heated situations, so you always have options before getting to the point of tarnishing a reputation.
