The Daily Number 10-2-15
Well yesterday we mentioned that there was a 9n.com on DropCatch closing on Friday. The domain 888828888.com closed at $720. There were just two bidders in the auction and First1 won the auction. The two bidders went back and forth for awhile, there seems to be some debate on whether 9n.com is a dumb idea or a smart play. I wrote about the auction when it was happening on Namepros.com.
Interesting to see a .tv get into the mix but 95588.tv closed at $514 on Pheenix. There are plenty of numeric .tv domains available so it might have been there was a former site, or some other meaning.
The top close of the day took place on NameJet and it was a 6N.com, 288887.com closed at $2,242.
Here are the rest of the closes:
986668.com 790 USD
66801.com 755 USD
9916666.com 341 USD
96420.com 329 USD
7726666.com 291 USD
3396666.com 290 USD
Names like 751389.com closed at $17 (plus renewal at Go Daddy) 323725.com closed at $12, and 573557.com closed at $32. 515859.com also managed to pull in $32. The 6N.com without 0 or 4 will bring about some bidding as names like these are selling on Namepros from $20 to $79. So picking these up for $20 approx with renewal seems like a deal to some. 929123.com closed at $161 the key being the 123 pattern.
Upcoming names for 10/3
DropCatch has some names that are rather plain but still got backorders for the min $59 with some at $100 or more.

Disclaimer: Nothing written here should be taken as a recommendation to invest in numeric domains of any kind, domain investing is a speculative business and you should do a lot of research.
i thought the general idea was that domains should be memorable.
i think at this point some of these guys have too long a lead off first base.
I think you make a good point, there are some that think 888828888.com is very memorable, that the patterns, especially those consisting of 8’s are going to be in demand.
Nice numeric domain sales. Thank you for sharing.
