There are always threads on forums and sometimes blog posts about bad service, or sometimes even negligent service. I think it is just as important to acknowledge the good or in this case great service.
I have not been active over the last year in selling domains, just fielding inbound offers. Writing and brokering has led to me neglecting my own portfolio.
So on NameJet when you are logged in you will see:
List Your Domains on NameJetApply to have your domains listed on NameJet’s exclusive auction platform Apply now
So I did and to be honest figured someone would get back to me in a month, no big deal. I am not a big player at NameJet, I buy a few domains but nothing crazy and nothing for big dollars.
To my surprise Jonathan contacted me the next day, got me all the stuff I needed to fill out like the listing agreement and a spreadsheet to list the domains with their reserves (if any) and expiration dates.
I sent it back at like 10 p.m. my time and the next morning everything was set up. A schedule for listing the names, spread out over a few days etc…
I wait days for Afternic sometime to just verify a domain I have owned for a decade, I was pleasantly surprised about how fast Jonathan made things happen, answered a couple email questions instantly as well.
So thank you Jonathan, everyone should provide the level of service and professionalism that you have shown.
I’d noticed the same. Jonathan is very attentive and will try to accommodate you, regardless of how bizarre the request. Good guy.
Well you are lucky and must be one of the chosen few to get a response and to actually get your names listed on Namejet. It would appear it is who you are not what you have to list and sell that gets you on Namejet.
Further to this, it always makes me smile when I see quality names like zzzzzzzz-12-124-124.com listed on the Pre-release, yet sound short key words that have a market are overlooked when submitted. Yes, I know there are exclusive registery deals in play. There is always room for the hundreds of crappy mile long hyphen names on Namjet. The ‘quality names’ argument put forward by Namejet and others is very weak.
I have had the same type of treatment from Jonathan Tenenbaum, got a reply showed my portfolio, asked me to sign the agreements which I did quite fast submitted all of them back, was discussing about reserves and gave me an excel file with dates of the publishing and Over….. nothing happened, send him a couple of mails after that, to which there was no reply. The last reply from him was on April 11-2015 and my last email follow up was 23 May 2015. I’m still not sure what happened after that.
Not sure about why or what happened after getting all the required documents and approvals for the listing. Anyways he is quite a nice guy his energy levels are very high. Keep up the hard work.
Thanks for the shout out Raymond!
And Andy, thank you for the kind words as well! 🙂
Bobby – I do apologize if you have had issues getting in contact with us. Please reach out to me directly – jt[at]namejet.com – and we can discuss listing your names.
Vinod – I am sorry for not being more responsive. I believe we were having some difficulties getting alligned on reserves, and I got tied up with up other things. With that said, I will reach out to you shortly to see if we can pick things back up. Looking forward to getting your domains listed.
Thanks again everyone!
-Jonathan
