May 15, 2015 by Raymond Hackney

Kevin Fink posted on the Flippa Blog that there were no major sales this week, still waiting on Menz.com which closed at $19,000 but still not closed. Kevin noted there has been an uptick in sales in the portfolio section.

menz.com most likely it was the case of shillbidding, it will never be paid it seems like, and one of the bidder was also banned after the auction, so go figure.

Yeah not looking like it will close you are right. It is a nice name, wonder if it will get relisted ?

it will never be sold. 60 PERCENT flippa sellers never make the sale go through, I hope apart from doing ads for flippa, you know how many ppl at flippa get banned, its crazy.

Those sales and number and are unverified. The word “close” is far from these sales.

These most of these will not close. Namejet sales i can say have more valid stats ….flippa sellers are crook, atleast most of them.

Apart from menz, another sale i was bidding in no reserve…..after auction ended the seller had a nerve to message me that he will not sell name because he didnt get the price but i asked him why did he do noserve auction in first place.

If u would like to see copies of it, let me know i can send screenshots of his message.

Flippa either need to step up, because these sales reported are NOT TRUE number, it basically inflate the sales charts.

For example, remember 2008 LLLL.com were selling crazy and after kne year those LLLL were dropping like crazy, now same thing happeneing to LLLL in 2015 and its ganna drop again.

I would say unverified sales should not be reported because it just inflates numbers and giving false boost to flippa.

No problem, that’s is why I put closed, it is where an auction closed, now when its sold then you know the sale went through. I have talked to Kevin Fink from Flippa they don’t seem to have as many non paying as some think. I agree the bogus auctions make everything look bad, I think Kevin stays on top of the stuff and at least he talks about reversals or auctions not closing. I am going to add a new disclaimer between sold and closed so people know it closed there but the transaction is not complete.

I participated in three auctions, so far disappointment. Menz.com , there has been history. I was bidder in that auction, the seller change the BIN like 10 times in last 10 minutes, and then preety much bought himself his own domain by using BIN. (or thru friend)

Have you ever seen someone selling the name, and would u find it awkard the guy would be changing his BIN like 10 times, and in the past, the domain has been sold 2 years ago, and it still did not close, although reported. The seller is playing games, and such is the case of shill bidding.

Now there is another auction no reserve. The seller messaged me flippa, he will not sell, but should not he oblige by no-reserve auction rules?

Only those name are selling that are being offered by brokers on flippa, all the other stuff is just a fuss.

Flippa is making money by just doing the listing fees 25 to 50 $ pop listing fee. And they can care less if the sale goes thru, worse come they will ban one or two bidders.

I am far from flippa, will not be bidding there. Trust me flippa numbers for domain names are way far from being accurate, unless sales are reported by domain brokers, who use flippa to auction names (which is also kind of fail, that why would someone hire broker to sell their name through flippa, as they could have done it themselves instead of paying double fees)

enough Troll from me @ Raymond, Lol. I am out of this discussion, all the best Bud.
